- Incipio's clever little offGRID battery case for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge doesn't just add extra juice to your Galaxy smartphone. A flick of a switch also gives you microSD support, so all.
- The Galaxy S6 line is powered by a 64-Bit Exynos 7 Octa 7420 system-on-chip, consisting of four 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 cores, and four 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 cores, and 3 GB of LPDDR4 RAM for the S6 and S6 Edge while 4 GB of LPDDR4 for the S6 Edge+, being the first Samsung flagship phones to utilize 64-Bit processing.
- Samsung Galaxy S6 - Full phone specifications. Released 2015, April. 138g, 6.8mm thickness. Android 5.0.2, up to Android 8.0, TouchWiz UI. 32GB/64GB/128GB storage, no card slot. 7.0% 56,908,476.
Two things users bemoan about the Samsung Galaxy S6: Its lack of a microSD card slot for storage expansion, and its sealed, non-replaceable battery.
An external microSD card slot was left out on the Samsung Galaxy S6 S907VL so if you feel 32 GB of storage space is not enough, you can go for either the 64 GB or the 128 GB variant. Performance As you can expect from a combination of high-end specifications, the performance of the Samsung Galaxy S6 S907VL is fantastic.
Samsung traded the two features in for a thinner and lighter design made from glass and aluminum — which, in our opinion, was worth it. But if you're still stingy about losing the features (and have no interest in picking up the equally impressive LG G4), this case from Incipio may interest you.

Called the offGRID, the case comes with a 3,700 milliamp-hour (mAh) battery that can recharge a Galaxy S6 100% and then some. (A Galaxy S6 has a 2,550 mAh battery). That solves the non-removable battery complaint.
The case also has a microSD card slot that works with cards up to 128GB in capacity, which solves the storage expansion issue.
Sure, you're adding a little more bulk to your skinny Galaxy S6. But what you gain is a ton more versatility (and protection for your phone).
The case is available for a steep $89.99. There's also a model for the Galaxy S6 Edge.
Another way to add more battery life and 128GB of storage to your Galaxy S6 is with an external battery bank and storage solution, such as Mophie's Spacestation. Those come with way bigger (6,000 mAh) batteries, but they start at $150 for a 32GB, $200 for a 64GB and $300 for a 128GB.

clarissa , 02 Dec 2016My SD card is not activate . how can I activate my SD card on my Samsung galaxy s6You can't. The S6 active will allow you to slip in a microSD on the opposite side as your SIM card BUT it will not accept/register it to be used in your phone. This was one of the many cons that came with this version of the phone. Better battery life, tougher, stayed cooler.etc S#!& for memory. Lol.

Shen, 26 Mar 2015There you go guys. #facepalmIt's so funny reading the speculation. But because it's been released, I think I'll update this thread.
Imagine a Galaxy S6 with water, shock, and dust protection, physical buttons that don't light up, a new blue button on the left above volume called Active Key that is programmable to open up apps, 3500 MaH battery instead of 2500 MaH, an essentially built-in case with a more recessed screen and camera, rubberized back, and no fingerprint sensor. That's your lot.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Sd Slot
'Samsung Galaxy S6 turned out not the flagship many was hoping for. It ditched the SD expansion slot the water protection and removable battery for good, in favor of refined design and improved user experience.'
This is the biggest bullshit on GSMArena. In fact, those changes are horrible. They destroy the user experience.
'The microSD slot on the other hand was removed in order to fit more technology on its place and for a better and more refined design.'
Are you joking? It's pathetic. So you say that fingerprint scanner and heart-rate monitor are more important than the SD slot? It's pathetic arguing. 'more refined design' = marketing crap.
In fact, Galaxy S6 is the WORST Samsung phone ever. And the reason:
-no removable battery
-no memory card slot
-no FM Radio
-glass back (horrible material for phones)
These are the reasons why LG G4 is better than S6.

No microSD expansion slot, no purchase from me. I have a Nexus 4 and I didn't realize it didn't have one and I miss it terribly especially since it's also a 16GB phone. Now I was looking at the 128GB version, but since I found out there is no microSD in the S6, I've been looking at other brands.
